Find a franchise that is right for you

The first step is you.  What are you looking to achieve?  What is your background?  What are your hobbies?  What are you good at?

What kind of money do you want to invest?
What Kind of money do you want to make?

The second step is to create a business plan and framework to hold up to all the franchises that are out there and create a short list of companies that can achieve those goals, and we know they can because franchisees of those companies are already doing those things.

Step 3 is to get involved with those companies.  Get your hands dirty for a day.  Understand what you are getting yourself into.  Can you see yourself in that business?  Is it what you thought it was?  Sometimes people fall in love with companies they didn't expect and other times they find that they don't like a business as much as they thought they did once they spend a day doing it.

At this point you have done your diligence and have found the perfect franchise for you.  Now it's time to take care of all the legal and financial aspects of the business.  Do you want an attorney to review your contract?  Do you want to finance this venture?  This is the longest step to complete, but it's also usually the easiest because you already know this is what you want to do so it's just a matter of making sure the last of the puzzle pieces are in the right place before you take the keys to your new business and start on the pathway of being an entrepreneur.
